The Awe of Autumn

ANIMA MUNDI

Part celebration of the wonder of the cosmos and part protest against the exploitation of the natural world, this year-long collection in four parts is an ode to the spirit and soul of Nature.

It’s time to be re-enchanted.

Welcome to Anima Mundi.

Anima Mundi was born of the idea that the world is alive, and that we are a part of it. Meaning ‘soul of the world’ this year-long collection is an homage to the intrinsic connection between all living things.

The Awe of Autumn

This Fall we unveil the first season of Anima Mundi. Follow us into the realm of hyper Nature and surrealist realism. View our living world through the gaze of the all-seeing eye and be awakened by the magic that lives all around us as we delight in The Awe of Autumn.

Through painterly florals, Jacobean blooms and oceanic damasks, we’ll meet mandrakes in the MOON GARDEN, be bewitched by Celtic legend in MELIORA and invoke the charms of talismanic AQUIFOLIA

The Awe of Autumn is our first collection designed with Mother Nature & Future Generations as directors of our company. It is our duty to use our creativity and platform to ensure their voices are heard, and as part of our commitment to people and planet, every collection we make must be designed with purpose and created with integrity. With this collection we hope to rekindle our innate connection with the natural world; to see ourselves as part of the complex web of life; not separate from nor higher than Nature.

After all, we are Nature.

Wallpaper

Wallpaper

For our biggest product category, wallpaper, all wood fibre is sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified forests in Northern Europe, made into paper in Belgium and printed at our supplier partner Borås Tapetfabrik, an independent factory, manufacturing wallpaper for over 100 years in Borås, Sweden.

FSC forest management certification confirms that the forest is being managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers, while ensuring it sustains economic viability.

In 2023, we protected over 320 acres of Ancient and Endangered Forests through our partnership with the World Land Trust, which compensates for more trees than we use in our annual wallpaper production - we use approximately 115 trees (1000 -1500 sq metre). It’s important for us to preserve and restore more forest land than we impact.

Cork

Cork

As part of our mission to explore materials that will lessen the burden on the natural world, cork wallpaper is now a part of our collections.

Crafted with the bark of the cork oak, these trees do not have to be felled, and instead are naturally stripped, each oak able to be used for over 200 years.

Our cork trees are farmed in southern Portugal, in a network of small farms supporting the local economy. The trees play an important part in the local ecology and act as a natural barrier for desertification.
