HOUSE OF HACKNEY X AXMINSTER CARPETS
HOUSE OF HACKNEY X AXMINSTER CARPETS
With 250 years of making floors fit for royalty, our new collection of carpets, rugs and runners created in collaboration with Axmister Carpets, has some serious credentials. With Royal Warrant and centuries of craftsmanship underfoot, it’s a heritage you can trust in the spaces of today.
Behind every carpet is a community of dyers, designers, weavers, engineers and finishers, whose skills have been passed from one generation to the next, using time-honoured techniques refined over centuries.
Bringing together House of Hackney's contemporary design language and Axminster's weaving expertise, each piece in the collection is woven in England, on a single loom, using Axminster’s unique ‘eight pitch’ weave, and over 40 colours from Nature’s palette, creating carpets of greater detail, definition and saturation than ever before.

ABOUT US
Our Craft Story
Built upon the foundations of creativity with purpose, integrity in our actions and compassion for people and planet, Frieda Gormley and Javvy M Royle first dreamed up House of Hackney in 2011. Today, we use our brand as a force for good, championing craft, Nature and community in our mission to contribute to the restoration of the natural world and the quality of all life on Earth.
In 2023, an independent director acting on behalf of Mother Nature and Future Generations joined our board to sense-check and guide our work for the collective good.
Our wonderful customers have protected 513 acres of threatened habitats and their wildlife through our partnership with World Land Trust.
Through events, protests, lobbying and campaigns, we support a collective of positive disruptors to take urgent action on behalf of Mother Nature and Future Generations.
We have begun to account for the full cost the extractive impact of our production has on Nature, so we can quantify the true health and success of our company.
